Kevin Moen, to Concord Baptist Church, Ruther Glen, Va., as pastor, effective Feb. 6. He comes from the pastorate of Oakland Baptist Church, Gum Spring, Va.

David Fitzgerald, to Ardmore Baptist Church, Winston-Salem, N.C., as minister of music, worship and arts. 

Larry Dickens, resigning as minister of music at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church, Fayetteville, N.C. to become associate professor of church music and the Gay T. and Haskell A. Duncan chair of church music at Campbell Divinity School, Buies Creek, N.C.

Matt O’Rear, to Effort Baptist Church, Palmyra, Va., as worship and arts minister.

R.J. Holt, to Park Cities Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas, as minister of community formations.

Jimmy Gunn, concluding his ministry as children’s minister at Lakeside Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas.

John Myers, to Ginter Park Baptist Church, Richmond, Va., as minister of music. He comes from Northview United Methodist Church in Roanoke, Va.

Thomas Williams, resigning as administrator and minister to adults at South Main Baptist Church, Houston, Texas.

Matt Poe, to The Woodlands First Baptist Church, The Woodlands, Texas, as student pastor.

Lillian Cook, to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Troutville, Va., as interim choir and music leader.

Craig Secor, concluding his ministry as youth minister at Black Creek Baptist Church, Mechanicsville, Va.

Muriel Hopkins, to Calvary Baptist Church, Towson, Md., as choir director/organist.

Brenda Alexander, to Hardin-Simmons University, Abilene, Texas, as vice president for finance. Previously she was chief financial officer at Howard Payne University, Brownwood, Texas.

Danny Miller, to Averett University, Danville, Va., as associate director of athletics. He just completed his 19th season as volleyball coach at Averett and had been interim director of athletics from September 2012 to August 2013. 

ORDAINED

Sharon Spivey, to be ordained to ministry by Franklin (Va.) Baptist Church on Feb. 16. 

DEATH

Abner Anglin “A.A.” Hyden, 95, died Jan. 19 in Waco, Texas. He worked for Buckner Children’s Home, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and for Baylor University from 1968 until his retirement in 1990, primarily as dean of students. He was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie Lee, and his brothers and sisters. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their extended families.

Jeffrey Greer, 5 years, as senior pastor of Riverchase Baptist Church, Birmingham, Ala.
